Ingredients
1/2 lbs ground pork
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of soy sauce
1 dash white pepper
8 cups water
2 1/2 lbs cabbage; finely chopped (shredded if you want)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 pound shrimp, cooked; finely chopped
1/3 cup green onions; finely chopped
1 teaspoon five-spice powder
Instructions for Cooking
- Mix the ground pork, and add the 1/4 tsp. salt, soy sauce, and white pepper. Cover and put in the refrigerator about 20 minutes.
- Boil water in a stockpot; add chopped cabbage. Drain; rinse green cabbage in cold water until cold. Drain thoroughly until excess water is removed.
- Place wok in the stove until very hot then add 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil; tilt gently the wok to coat the sides with oil. Add the pork; Slowly stir-fry 3 minutes, or until pork is no longer pink. Stir in cabbage, shrimp, green onions, 1/2 tsp. salt, and five-spice powder.
- Serve with hot mustard sauce, if desired.
